  • The SweCham team set sail towards the Social Explorer

< Back The SweCham team set sail towards the Social Explorer 30 Nov 2023 At an event inspired by the adventurous spirit of Leif Erikson, we embarked on a cultural voyage that perfectly blended Nordic exploration with Thai hospitality, set in an American environment at the JUSMAGTHAI bar. This unique setting, steeped in both history and exclusivity, provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of networking and good fun. To engage the participants, there was a networking game designed to break the ice. The game involved cards that were cut up, and participants had to find their matching halves! The prize for the game was a raffle ticket, and for the lucky, fine prizes. The event served as a precious reminder of the Nordics, evoking a sense of homesickness. This event fostered a sense of community, and we wish to extend our thanks to the Thai-Nordic Association, and to their chairman Kim Alexandersen and vice chairman Alexander Wetterling for inviting us to a wonderful evening! • SweCham SWG Meeting Update

< Back SweCham SWG Meeting Update 5 Apr 2023 On 27 March, the 3rd SweCham Sustainability Working Group meeting of the year was held at the Embassy of Sweden, Bangkok. The meeting, chaired by Khun Lars Svensson, gathered over 17 participants both in person and virtually from various fields and industries as well as from the Sweden Alumni Network Thailand (SANT). During the SWG meeting, participants discussed the SweCham sustainability events line-up, the sustainability goals of the member participants as well as the collaboration with other Chambers and the JFCCT Working Groups. Furthermore, the SweCham team would like to give our warmest thanks to the Embassy of Sweden, Bangkok for hosting the meeting. The Embassy did not only provide the use of their excellent facilities, they had also most thoughtfully prepared delectable Swedish coffee and salted brownie cookies before the meeting that proved to be quite addictive! Undoubtably, this provided some extra energy to the already vibrant discussions held during the session. We would also like to thank all the participants for their continued support and contribution during the SWG discussions, as the meeting would not have been possible without them. The knowledge and experience that the member participants bring to these meetings is invaluable as the SweCham Sustainability Working Group aims to help realise Thailandโ€™s net zero carbon emission vision by 2065. The SweCham team also looks forward to continuing our active cooperation with Thai industries, universities and the government to support sustainable solutions, collaboration and advocacy. The next meeting will be held on Monday, 8 May 2023 at Sasin School of Management. Are you interested in participating in our Working Group meetings?
