The focus was on the public service centre for investors and foreigners. Secretary General of PACC Bhumivisan Kasemsook introduced several issues and goals. Raising Thailandโ€™s CPI Score, he emphasised the need to elevate Thailandโ€™s Corruption Perception Index (CPI) score and that the PACC is committed to having a reliable Complaint Centre to improve foreign investorsโ€™ confidence by providing a dependable avenue for lodging complaints. The Secretary-General shed light on a harrowing case involving a businessman who was extorted for multi-million Baht bribes to resolve his tax issues. Following a sting operation, the corrupt official was arrested and found to have amassed assets from illicit activities. The panel discussion comprised leaders from the Thailand Chamber of Commerce, the Strategic Transformation Office, and the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority. They discussed: Three Key Points: Inconvenience, lack of transparency and uncertainty. Legal Reforms: The need for urgent law reform was highlighted, along with focusing on ease of doing business. Public and Private Sector Involvement: Both sectors were encouraged to collaborate in the fight against corruption. The panel discussion highlighted a few different Transparency Initiatives: Bangkok Metropolitan Authority (BMA): The BMA uses this website, traffy.in.th , to facilitate complaints ranging from corruption to noise. ISO 37001: Implementation of an anti-bribery management system. The Final Takeaways of the seminar are, Individual Responsibility: โ€˜Silence lets corruption grow; see something, say something!โ€™. Continuity: Anti-corruption efforts must continue irrespective of who is in the government. Whistleblower Protection: Safeguarding whistleblowers and encouraging reporting are crucial steps. • VentPro's Innovative Solutions to Combat PM2.5 Pollution

< Back VentPro's Innovative Solutions to Combat PM2.5 Pollution 19 Jan 2024 In Thailand, where PM2.5 air pollution is a significant health hazard, the use of an Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV) system with balanced airflow and cross ventilation can be a vital solution. PM2.5 particles, which are small enough to penetrate deep into the lungs, pose risks for respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, especially in urban areas with high traffic emissions and industrial activities. ERV systems address this issue by facilitating a balanced exchange of indoor and outdoor air while conserving energy used in cooling. The key advantage of an ERV system with balanced airflow lies in its ability to maintain equal amounts of fresh air intake and stale air exhaust, ensuring optimal ventilation. This balance is crucial for efficiently reducing indoor levels of PM2.5, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and carbon dioxide (CO2). The cross-ventilation feature further enhances air circulation, effectively distributing clean air throughout the space and improving indoor air quality. High-efficiency filters in these systems play a critical role in trapping harmful particles and pollutants, making the indoor environment safer and healthier. In densely populated areas of Thailand, where natural ventilation may not suffice to reduce indoor pollutant levels, installing an ERV system becomes essential. It is a proactive measure not only for health protection but also for enhancing the comfort and well-being of occupants in homes and offices. Previous Next
