TSCC Welcomes the New Swedish Ambassador

After the summer break 2015, we were back to hosting another monthly networking on September 3rd at the Huntsman’s pub, Landmark hotel. As the evening proceeded, old and new faces appeared; but not for long, the place was filled, warm greetings were made and business cards exchanged.

This time, we had the pleasure to welcome Sweden’s new team members at its Mission in Thailand as our honorary guests. The new Swedish Ambassador to Thailand, H.E Mr. Staffan HerrströmMinister Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission Mrs Charlotta Schlyter, and Counseller and Head of Chancery Mr Olov Westergård were introduced to the community of Thai and Swedes business persons in Thailand by our President Mr. Jan Eriksson before the time was prime for the introduction speech.

The crowd gathered and made space as the speech was about to begin. Mr. Jan Eriksson began by addressing the welcoming speech to guests and then officially introduced the honorary guests from the Embassy. Sweden’s newly-appointed Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Herrström, spoke on behalf of the Embassy and expressed his gratitude towards the guests and spoke briefly of his mission in Thailand as well as introduced his colleagues and the two new interns. Mr. Kaj Rosander from the evening’s sponsor SAAB Group concluded that he hoped for a continuing ties between the Swedish and Thai entities in business and trade. The speeches ended with a round of applause from all the guests and the celebrations resumed.

Ultimately, we would like to give special thanks to SAAB Group Asia Pacific‘s for kindly hosting another successful event and also immense gratitude to the guests from the Embassy of Sweden for making the evening even more remarkable. We will see you at the next networking event. Please stay tuned.
