Tetra Pak Thailand signed an MOU to extend “Green Roof Project for Princess Pa Foundation”

On 26 June 2019, Tetra Pak Thailand represented by Managing Director Mr. Bert Jan Post, the initiator of “Green Roof Project for Princess Pa Foundation” along with project partners Big C Super Centre, TV 360 Degree, and Fiber Pattana Company signed an MOU to extend this project for 3 more years.

This project was launched in 2010 and has been producing corrugated roofing sheets made by over 200 million used cartons. The roofing sheets have been used as part of shelters for floods and natural disasters victims.

The used cartons will be collected from drop-off boxes in every branch of Big C Super Center and delivered to a recycling factory to produce roofing sheets.

As one roofing sheet needs 2,000 used cartons, the project needs a large number of cartons to be able to produce more roofing sheets according to demand. Therefore, the project is getting a commitment from Tetra Pak’s customers to support and aims to get 30 million used cartons by this year.
