Yesterday marked our first Connectivity Working Group (CWG) meeting which was held at the SweCham office at Chamchuri Square Office Tower.
This connectivity working group is led by Tomas Julin, the vice president of SweCham and Igor Maurell, Head of Ericsson Thailand. The meeting was also attended by Andrew Thuan, Magnus Ewerbring, and Peter Borjesson (Ericsson), Kittikorn Kumnarai (Hitachi Energy/ ABB Power Grids), Benny Mattsson (Autoliv), Gaurav Srivastava (Epiroc) and SweCham President Peter Björk (CCM). We were also joined by online attendees including Thitirat Sripanngern (Volvo Cars), Nipon Wongsaengarunsri (Electrolux), Ekarin Petsiri (Ericsson), and Daniel Holtsjo (Securitas).
The aim of the Connectivity Working Group is to provide a platform for collaboration on how to further enhance connectivity and transform business models in Thailand . Combining Ericsson’s knowledge on connectivity with industry expertise from working group members representing a range of sectors, the SweCham CWG is exploring the potentials of the 5G network and the driving force for digitalisation of industries. Areas explored during the discussions included ecosystem development, co-creation, and case references which showcased how interconnectivity, reliability, and security could lead to enhanced productivity and safety. Ultimately, the CWG is a place for collaboration, innovation and co-creation where members can experiment and jointly identify challenges that can be tackled together.
Thank you very much to the #Ericsson Thailand Team for the interesting presentation and to all the participants for their questions and input. We would also like to give special thanks to IWG/Spaces for providing the meeting room for us!
