SUT in the Latest Webometrics Ranking of World Universities

On 1 February 2023, the rector of Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), Associate Professor Dr. Anan Tongraar, announced the release of the round 1, January 2023 of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, which is a comprehensive ranking system that evaluates universities around the world based on two primary factors: the volume of web content and the visibility and impact of these web publications, as determined by the number of external inlinks they receive.  

The round 1, January 2023 edition used three primary indicators for ranking universities, which include visibility, transparency or openness, and excellence or scholar, accounting for 50%, 10%, and 40%, respectively.  

The results of this assessment have placed Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) in an impressive position as the 2nd ranked institution in the Northeast region, 4th in the Thai University of Technology category, 12th in Thailand, and 1,347th in the world.  

This is a remarkable achievement that demonstrates SUT’s commitment to excellence and its pursuit of academic and research excellence on a global scale.
