Team Sweden, led by H.E. Mrs. Anna Hammargren, Ambassador, Mrs. Anna Jakenberg Brinck, Deputy Head of Mission, Mr. Kacper Pierzynowski, Trade Commissioner of Sweden to Thailand, Mr. Peter Björk, SweCham President, and Dr. Pojanath Bhatanacharoen, SweCham Executive Director, joined the festive celebration at the inauguration of the new IKEA Sukhumvit Store on 29 November 2023.
Team Sweden extended warm congratulations to IKEA Thailand for the grand opening of their Sukhumvit store, situated at the heart of Bangkok. Having been a part of the Thai landscape for 12 years, IKEA continues to uphold its commitment to providing quality and affordable home furnishings, with the enduring motto ‘Home is the most important place in the world’.
It was a great honour to meet Mr. Peter Kamprad and other key IKEA executives. Special thanks to Khun Leonie Hoskin, Retail Manager of IKEA Thailand, Khun Sirin Atsilarat, Store Manager of IKEA Sukhumvit, Khun Christian Dassonville, HR Manager (Retail), and Khun Cecilia Håkansson, Ikano Retail General Counsel, Head of Legal Affairs, as well as the entire IKEA Team for their warm welcome to a fantastic celebration!
Notably, IKEA Sukhumvit stands as the first IKEA city store in Southeast Asia at Emsphere, covering an expansive 12,000 SQM. The store features a Swedish café and restaurant with a stunning view of Benjasiri Park and is seamlessly connected to the BTS Phrompong skywalk at Emsphere for convenient transportation.
