On 6 June, SweCham team had the opportunity to join the 5th Asia-Pacific United Nations Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum (RBHR Forum) being held from 6-9 June 2023 at the UN Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Forum is co-organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO), International Organization for Migration (IOM), Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP), and the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights (UNWG).
In addition, the Forum offered us a chance to meet with a wide range of stakeholders in Asia-Pacific and gain knowledge of responsible business practices and corporate accountability in the region. It also sheds light on critical issues, challenges, and sectors that demand actions from the business and human rights community.
On this occasion, SweCham team is very pleased to participate in this captivating Forum. We always seize the opportunity to be part of thought-provoking events to help create a future grounded in responsibility and equality, along with helping create value for society and businesses in the SweCham community!
