SweCham Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024, 21 March 2024

On 21 March, SweCham  held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) followed by networking drinks and a delicious dinner.  At the AGM, we presented SweCham’s activities over the past year, including a recap of projects and a financial update, followed by the election of board governors.  A big congratulation to Mr. Peter Björk who was re-elected for his fifth term as President by the SweCham Board! 

The evening continued with a post-meeting dinner.  We were honoured to have been joined by Khun Anoma Vongyai, Director of Europe Market Division Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), who shared with us updates on the current tourism situation in Thailand and the new strategies to attract quality tourists to Thailand, to promote and support the Thai economy.  The new TAT policies focus on eco-friendly tourism and more high-end tourists, aiming to raise the revenue from tourism, based on quality and value!  

We would like to extend our warm thanks to Khun Anoma Vongyai for the interesting presentation that generated many questions from the floor and a very dynamic discussion. 

Guests enjoyed a delicious three-course dinner accompanied by exquisite wine, and we would like to give big thanks to our Event Partner the Rembrandt Hotel and Suites for their warm hospitality and excellent facilities. 

We also wish to thank the deputy head of mission, Mrs. Anna Jakenberg Brinck, Embassy of Sweden to Thailand, for her participation and support of the Thai-Swedish business community.   

Last but not least, SweCham would like to thank our members and friends who joined us and took part in our AGM and dinner.  We are most grateful for your continuous support in our mission to promote and advocate for Swedish business interests in Thailand.
